Job Description
The Role
We are seeking Personal Care Assistants to work within our aged care facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred care based on individual care plans, under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Clinical Care Coordinators. Your goal will be to enhance the dignity, comfort, and quality of life of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate and personalised care as directed by the care plan and Registered Nurse.
Monitor and report any changes in the health status of residents.
Promote dignity, respect, and safety, ensuring residents feel valued and comfortable.
Assist with medication administration following the 3 Principles of Safe Administration (If Certified).
Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, ensuring timely reporting and documentation.
Support residents with daily activities and personal care needs.
Manage workload efficiently, prioritising tasks as required.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Qualifications: Cert III in Aged Care, Individual Supports (Aged Care)
Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within aged care or healthcare is preferred.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated empathy for the needs of the elderly.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge of Aged Care Legislation, documentation, and care planning is an advantage.
