Workplace Location
Our facility is located in Shoal Bay Port Stephens, one of NSW favourite holiday destinations. Harbourside Port Stephens is perfectly positioned to enjoy the Peninsula and the surrounding areas.
Purpose of Role
The purpose of the Home Care Employee (Domestic) is to provide our clients in the community with a range of domestic services in the Community. This may include house cleaning, laundry and preparation of meals or light snacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleaning and domestic work as specified by the client care plans and schedules.
- Clean according to Harbourside PS Cleaning Standards for;
- Windows, walls, doors and skirtings
- Hard and soft Floors
- Electrical and Kitchen Fixtures and Appliances
- Toilet, Bathroom and Laundry Fixtures
- Residents Equipment
- Furnishings and Fittings
- General Tidiness of areas is maintained
- Ensure communication, reporting and documentation is timely and accurate.
- Keep a clean work environment
- Prioritise workloads and respond effectively to changing situations
- Prioritise and organise workloads to provide cleaning services to clients
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Care Partner regarding domestic services
- Use appropriate strategies to promote self-esteem, dignity, integrity, safety, security and comfort to residents
- Ensure broken or damaged equipment is reported
