Care Service Employee
Purpose of Role
The Care Services Employee works across the facility in all aspects of care service delivery, including Servery, Cleaning, and Laundry. This role supports a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents by ensuring high standards of hygiene, food service, and linen management. The employee contributes to a positive resident experience by delivering services with dignity, respect, and compassion.
General Responsibilities Across All Areas
- Adhere to Harbourside Port Stephens Cleaning Standards and use equipment appropriately.
- Prioritise and organise workload to meet service needs and respond effectively to changing situations.
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with the manager regarding service delivery and report any issues or changes.
- Monitor and report stock levels and equipment condition.
- Promote resident dignity, safety, and comfort in all interactions
Key responsibilities - Servery
- Portion and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements and meal plans.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the servery area, including benches, equipment, and utensils.
- Follow food safety standards, infection control procedures, and facility policies.
- Set up and clear meal trays, crockery, and cutlery.
- Monitor and record food temperatures as required.
- Ensure residents receive correct meals and support respectful meal presentation.
- Communicate with care staff and kitchen team regarding resident needs.
- Restock servery supplies and report low stock or equipment issues
- Support a positive, homely, and dignified dining experience for residents
